Claudia Sheinbaum formalizes a coalition with CATEM

During the XV Ordinary National Congress of the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM), Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, serving as the coordinator for the defense of the “fourth transformation,” formally solidified a coalition with the aforementioned confederation.

The event unfolded in an atmosphere characterized by cooperation and mutual support.

Alignment with CATEM: In her participation, Sheinbaum expressed her satisfaction with the formalization of the coalition, emphasizing the indispensable nature of collaboration among workers, entrepreneurs, and the government for Mexico’s well-being.

She underscored the need to progress in the expansion of labor rights and highlighted the importance of avoiding a return to practices from the past.

Shared Objective: The political leader pointed out that the shared objective is to perpetuate the fourth transformation of Mexico’s public life, emphasizing that the country is currently undergoing one of its most promising periods.

Upon the swearing-in of the initial labor committees for the defense of CATEM’s fourth transformation, she reiterated her commitment to safeguard workers’ wages and labor benefits.

Commitments and Collaboration: Sheinbaum pledged to persist in collaborating with entrepreneurs, adhering to the principle of “for the good of all, first the poor.”

She emphasized that this collaboration is crucial to Mexico’s growth. In this regard, Pedro Haces Barba, senator and secretary-general of CATEM, highlighted the achievements obtained in this collaboration, such as the increase in the minimum wage and the elimination of subcontracting.
