Mom has given birth to 4 daughters over 9 years on the exact same day

The Lammert family has a special day each year – August 25th. It’s not just any ordinary day, but the day that all four of the Lammert daughters were born. And no, they are not quadruplets. Each girl was born on the same day, exactly three years apart. Sophia, 9, Giuliana, 6, Mia, 3, and Valentina, just 2.5 weeks old, all share the exact same birthday.

Their mother, 35-year-old Kristin Lammert of South Carolina, is still in awe of this incredible coincidence. Baby Valentina was actually due on September 25th, but she surprised her family by arriving a month early on her sisters’ birthday.

But one person in the family was not surprised at all – big sister Sophia. Just days before Valentina’s arrival, Kristin captured Sophia on video as she wished upon a star for her newest sister to be born on the Lammert sisters’ shared birthday, or at least on her due date.

“I wish for a healthy, blessed baby sister on August 25th or September 25th,” Sophia said in the video, with her hands clasped tightly together and her face turned towards the sky, eyes closed.

And her wish came true. TODAY.com was curious to know Sophia’s secret, so Kristin called her over to the phone. “I knew she was coming,” Sophia says sweetly and confidently. “For every baby sister, I said that she would be coming on August 25th, and she came. So it’s kind of like I have magic.”

The fact that all four Lammert daughters were born on the same day is truly a remarkable coincidence, as their births were not scheduled C-sections or inductions. According to Dr. Christine Greves, an OB-GYN at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, the odds of having multiple siblings born on the same day are “extremely rare.” The Guinness Book of World Records holder is a family with five siblings born on the same day, and the chances of that happening are about one in 17 billion.

The Lammert family is now only one baby away from tying the record. But for now, they are just enjoying the special bond that their daughters share.

Kristin was diagnosed with mild preeclampsia 35 weeks into her pregnancy, and on her last day of work, she realized that her vision was blurry. She continued to work a few more hours to finish training the person who would be taking over her job, but ultimately, she had to call her boss, who also happens to be her uncle, to tell him what was going on.

“As your uncle, you need to go take care of yourself,” Kristin remembers him saying. “And as your boss, I appreciate your integrity, but you need to go!”

Even as she left work, Kristin was in denial that her daughter was going to be born. She had experienced delivering her three older daughters and knew that she needed to mentally prepare for the birth. But she wasn’t there yet.

Her husband Nick Lammert, 36, tried to convince her to pack a hospital bag, but she thought there was no point since they would probably be sent home. But when they reached the hospital on August 23rd, Kristin’s preeclampsia had progressed from mild to severe. She and Nick assumed that the baby would be born within 24 hours, making her birthday August 24th. But Valentina had other plans.

She arrived at 8:11 am on August 25th, weighing just 5 pounds and 12 ounces. Kristin wasn’t prepared to have a preemie, as she had no preemie-sized clothes or diapers. She had to order everything from the hospital.

But luckily, Valentina didn’t need to go to the NICU, which surprised everyone, including the nurses. She was officially released from the hospital the next day, on August 26th, but she stayed in her mom’s hospital room until Kristin was released two days later.

Valentina’s birth didn’t ruin her older sisters’ birthday party plans. Sophia had been saying for a long time that Valentina would be born on August 25th, and Kristin was starting to believe her. So she had scheduled a huge party for her daughters on August 17th,
