Sheinbaum incorporates CATEM into the transformation

The National Coordinator of the Transformation, Claudia Sheinbaum, has incorporated the Confederation of Autonomous Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM) into her project with the aim of forming the CATEM Labor Defense Committees for the Fourth Transformation.

“I am very pleased to publicly formalize this great coalition with the Confederation of Autonomous Workers and Employees of Mexico,” she stated.

From the Arena Ciudad de México, the Morena party member swore in over 10,000 people who will make up the CATEM Labor Defense Committees for the Fourth Transformation, emphasizing that the goal of these committees is to continue providing workers with a dignified life.

For his part, Pedro Haces Barba, Senator of the Republic and Secretary General of CATEM, summarized the labor achievements reached with the Fourth Transformation, such as the salary increase, the extension of vacation days, and the elimination of outsourcing.

“We are living through crucial moments of decision, which is why, from this congress, today, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum, we reaffirm our commitment to the values of the Fourth Transformation,” he said.

Meanwhile, Senator Ricardo Monreal emphasized the importance of continuing to foster a good relationship between workers and the government, as this will continue to open up more spaces for access to labor rights. Pedro Haces Barba Pedro Haces Barba
