Peacock trained TikTokers to make content, and now four creators are getting original series

Three years ago, a group of TikTokers took a leap of faith and joined NBCUniversal’s new initiative aimed at transforming social media influencers into the next generation of TV show creators. And now, their hard work and dedication has paid off as four of these creators are set to launch their original series on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the shows set to premiere are “The Warehouse Phase,” developed by TikTok star Jaden Hossler, “The Girls Room,” created by TikTok duo Nava Rose and Lily Chee, “The Hype,” developed by TikTok star and dancer Charli D’Amelio, and “The D’Amelio Show,” a reality series following the lives of Charli and her sister Dixie.

This is a major milestone for these young creators who started out making short videos on TikTok and have now made their way into the world of television. It’s a testament to the power of social media and the endless opportunities it can provide.

The idea behind NBCUniversal’s initiative was to tap into the creativity and influence of social media stars and give them a platform to showcase their talents in a different medium. And it seems to have worked wonders as these four shows have already generated a lot of buzz and excitement among fans.

“The Warehouse Phase” is a sci-fi thriller that follows a group of teenagers who discover a mysterious warehouse that holds the key to their past and future. Jaden Hossler, who has over 10 million followers on TikTok, has been working on this project for the past two years and is thrilled to finally see it come to life.

“I never imagined that my love for creating short videos on TikTok would lead me to develop my own TV show. It’s a dream come true and I can’t wait for everyone to see it,” says Hossler.

“The Girls Room” is a comedy series that follows the lives of two best friends, played by Nava Rose and Lily Chee, as they navigate high school and all the drama that comes with it. The duo, who have a combined following of over 10 million on TikTok, have been working on this project for the past year and are excited to see their vision come to life.

“We wanted to create a show that is relatable and funny, and we’re so grateful to NBCUniversal for giving us this opportunity to do so,” says Nava Rose.

“The Hype” is a dance competition series that will feature some of the biggest names in the TikTok dance community, including Charli D’Amelio herself. The show will follow the contestants as they compete for a chance to win a cash prize and a spot on a major tour. D’Amelio, who has over 100 million followers on TikTok, is no stranger to the world of dance and is excited to bring her passion to the small screen.

“I’ve always loved dancing and being able to share that with my followers on TikTok. But now, I’m taking it to the next level and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of ‘The Hype’,” says D’Amelio.

And last but not least, “The D’Amelio Show” will give viewers an inside look into the lives of Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, two of the biggest names on TikTok. The reality series will follow the sisters as they navigate their newfound fame and all the challenges that come with it.

“We’re so grateful for this opportunity to share our lives with our fans and show them a different side of us. It’s going to be a wild ride and we can’t wait for everyone to join us on this journey,” says Dixie D’Amelio.

The launch of these four shows on Peacock is a major milestone not just for the creators, but also for the entertainment industry as a whole. It shows that social media influencers have a lot to offer and can bring fresh and unique content to traditional media platforms.

“We are thrilled to be working with these talented creators and bringing their visions to life on Peacock. This is just the beginning of our partnership with social media influencers and we can’t wait to see what the future holds,” says Bill McGoldrick, President of Original Content at Peacock.

The success of these shows will not only open doors for more social media influencers to break into the world of television, but it also
