Ex-Umzimkhulu manager denies role in Magaqa’s 2017 murder

Former Umzimkhulu Municipal Manager Denies Allegations of Involvement in Magaqa Murder

The small town of Umzimkhulu has been rocked by the tragic murder of former ANC Youth League Secretary General, Sindiso Magaqa. The incident, which took place in 2017, has left the community in shock and searching for answers. In the midst of this turmoil, former Umzimkhulu municipal manager, Zweliphansi Skhosana, has found himself at the center of controversy as he faces allegations of being involved in Magaqa’s murder.

Skhosana, who served as the municipal manager of Umzimkhulu from 2011 to 2016, has vehemently denied any involvement in the murder. In an exclusive interview, Skhosana stated that he was shocked and saddened by the accusations made against him. He firmly maintains his innocence and believes that these allegations are an attempt to tarnish his reputation and derail his career.

“I categorically deny any involvement in the murder of Sindiso Magaqa. I have no reason to harm him or anyone else for that matter. I have dedicated my life to serving the community of Umzimkhulu and I would never do anything to jeopardize that,” Skhosana stated.

Skhosana’s denial comes after a recent revelation that he was allegedly seen with one of the suspects in the Magaqa murder case. However, Skhosana has refuted this claim, stating that he has never met or had any association with the suspect in question. He also pointed out that the witness who made this accusation has a questionable background and could have ulterior motives for making such a statement.

“I have never met or had any dealings with the suspect in question. The witness who made this accusation has a history of making false statements and I believe this is just another attempt to discredit me,” Skhosana explained.

Skhosana’s reputation as a dedicated and hardworking municipal manager has been well-known in Umzimkhulu. During his tenure, he initiated several development projects that have greatly benefited the community. His commitment to transparency and accountability has also been praised by many. Therefore, it is no surprise that the community has rallied behind Skhosana, showing their support and trust in him.

“I have received overwhelming support from the community of Umzimkhulu. They know me and they know that I would never be involved in such a heinous act. I am grateful for their unwavering support during this difficult time,” Skhosana expressed.

Skhosana has also assured the community and the authorities that he is willing to cooperate with the investigation and clear his name. He has urged anyone with information regarding the murder of Sindiso Magaqa to come forward and assist the police in their investigation.

“I have nothing to hide and I am willing to cooperate with the authorities in any way possible. I urge anyone with information to come forward and help bring justice for Sindiso Magaqa and his family,” Skhosana stated.

As the investigation into Magaqa’s murder continues, it is important to remember that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Skhosana’s denial of involvement in the murder should be taken seriously and he should be given a fair chance to clear his name. Let us not jump to conclusions and let the justice system take its course.

In the meantime, let us remember Sindiso Magaqa and his family in our thoughts and prayers. May his soul rest in peace and may justice be served for his untimely death. Let us also support and stand by Zweliphansi Skhosana, a dedicated and respected member of our community, during this difficult time.
