IFP claims victory in three KZN by-elections

The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) has once again proven its strength and popularity in KwaZulu-Natal, claiming victory in all three by-elections held on Wednesday. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the IFP and its supporters, as well as the trust and confidence that the people of KwaZulu-Natal have in the party.

The by-elections, which took place in Ward 1 in the Nkandla municipality, Ward 5 in the Mthonjaneni municipality, and Ward 5 in the Abaqulusi municipality, were closely contested by various political parties. However, it was the IFP that emerged victorious in all three wards, with a significant margin of votes.

In Ward 1 of the Nkandla municipality, the IFP candidate, Sipho Mkhize, secured a resounding victory with 68.5% of the votes, beating the African National Congress (ANC) candidate who received only 25.5% of the votes. This is a clear indication that the people of Nkandla have rejected the ANC and have placed their trust in the IFP to lead and bring about positive change in their community.

Similarly, in Ward 5 of the Mthonjaneni municipality, the IFP’s candidate, Thulani Mthembu, won with an impressive 60.8% of the votes, defeating the ANC candidate who received only 37.2% of the votes. This victory is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the IFP in the Mthonjaneni municipality, where the party has been working tirelessly to improve the lives of its residents.

In Ward 5 of the Abaqulusi municipality, the IFP’s candidate, Ntokozo Ngcobo, emerged victorious with a staggering 75.3% of the votes, beating the ANC candidate who received only 22.8% of the votes. This is a significant win for the IFP, as it shows that the people of Abaqulusi have placed their trust in the party to lead and bring about positive change in their municipality.

The IFP’s success in these by-elections is a clear indication that the party’s message of unity, progress, and development is resonating with the people of KwaZulu-Natal. It is also a testament to the strong leadership of the IFP, under the guidance of its President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, who has been at the forefront of the struggle for democracy and freedom in South Africa.

In his statement following the by-elections, Prince Buthelezi expressed his gratitude to the people of KwaZulu-Natal for their unwavering support and trust in the IFP. He also thanked the party’s candidates and supporters for their hard work and dedication, which has resulted in this remarkable victory.

The IFP’s victory in these by-elections is a clear indication that the party is gaining momentum and is on its way to reclaiming its rightful place as a major political force in South Africa. It also serves as a wake-up call for other political parties, especially the ruling party, to take note of the IFP’s growing popularity and to work harder to earn the trust and support of the people.

As we celebrate the IFP’s victory in these by-elections, let us also remember that this is just the beginning. The IFP remains committed to its mission of building a united, prosperous, and democratic South Africa, and will continue to work tirelessly to bring about positive change in the lives of all South Africans.

In conclusion, the IFP’s victory in all three by-elections held in KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday is a clear indication that the party is on the right track and is gaining the trust and support of the people. Let us all join hands and work together towards a better and brighter future for all South Africans.
