Family and Friends Plead for Safe Return of 17-Year-Old Carpentersville Girl
It has been four days since anyone has seen or heard from the 17-year-old Carpentersville girl and family and friends are pleading for her safe return. Jocelyn Rubi Romero, the sister of Brissa Romero, said that her sister is a hardworking and loving girl, who graduated high school early as a junior and currently studies to be an ultrasound technician at Harper College.
Brissa was last seen on Monday night while on the way to a holiday party. Her family said that they shared their location with their parents and that Brissa had called her mother at 6:55 p.m. to say that she was on the way over. However, around the time of her arrival, Brissa did not call her mother again.
The Carpentersville police have conducted an extensive search in Bowlero, Vernon Hills, where her phone last pinged. Family believed that Brissa was on her way to the bowling alley for a holiday work party, but no one at the party saw her.
The police have used drones to search the local ponds for her vehicle. It is described as a gray 2008 Nissan Rouge with Illinois license plate number CZ64618. The police have also patrolled nearby areas and hotels for any signs of the teenager.
Brissa does not have a history of mental health challenges or running away from home, according to the police. They are also working to review her social media accounts.
The family of Brissa Romero is asking anyone with information on her whereabouts to please come forward and help them. They believe that she has gone missing and that the circumstances are suspicious.
“Please, please just help us because she’s not a bad girl,” said Jocelyn Rubi Romero. “She is a hardworking and loving girl who deserves to be found and brought back to her family safe and sound.”
At this time, the police are asking anyone with information to call the Carpentersville Police Department at 847-426-2131 or contact them through social media.
The family and friends of Brissa Romero are hoping for her safe return and are asking for the public’s help. They are asking everyone, especially those who were at the bowling alley, to come forward and provide any information that could help bring Brissa back home.
