Mbalula Says Partnership With South African Communist Party Will Continue After Elections
The Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula, has reassured the public that the working relationship between the African National Congress (ANC) and the South African Communist Party (SACP) will continue even after the upcoming elections.
Speaking at a rally in KwaZulu-Natal, Mbalula emphasized the importance of the alliance between the two parties, stating that it has been the driving force behind the transformation of South Africa since the dawn of democracy.
“We have been in a strong and strategic alliance with the SACP for many years. Our partnership has been the cornerstone of our struggle for liberation and the advancement of our country,” Mbalula said.
He further added that the alliance between the ANC and SACP has played a crucial role in creating a more equal and just society, with the implementation of progressive policies such as free education and healthcare, as well as the national minimum wage.
Addressing concerns that the partnership may weaken after the elections, Mbalula assured the public that the alliance has been built on a strong foundation and is here to stay.
“We have faced many challenges together and emerged even stronger. Our commitment to the people of South Africa and the struggle for a better society has kept us united,” he stated.
Mbalula also highlighted the shared values and goals of the ANC and SACP, stating that both parties are committed to the fight against corruption and building a more inclusive economy that benefits all South Africans.
“Our partnership with the SACP is not just about elections, it is about the future of our country. We share a common vision of a prosperous South Africa for all its citizens,” he said.
The minister also urged members of both parties to work together to ensure a convincing victory for the ANC in the upcoming elections, in order to continue the progress and transformation that has been achieved over the years.
“We need to work even harder to ensure that the ANC remains in power. Our partnership with the SACP is crucial in achieving this goal,” Mbalula said.
The SACP has also expressed its commitment to the partnership, with the party’s General Secretary, Blade Nzimande, stating that they will continue to work closely with the ANC to advance the interests of the working class and the poor.
In conclusion, Mbalula’s statement reaffirms the strong bond between the ANC and SACP and their commitment to working together for the betterment of South Africa. As the country heads into the elections, it is clear that the partnership between these two parties will continue to be a driving force in shaping the future of the nation.
