Salud, a term often associated with health and wellness, is also the name of a popular student-run organization at the University of Pennsylvania. Led by the dynamic and dedicated Neil Gajare, Salud has gained recognition and praise for its efforts in promoting health and education among underprivileged communities. As a member of Salud, I have had the privilege of working with Neil and witnessing firsthand the positive impact of his leadership and initiatives.
Being a student at UPenn, I have always been drawn towards organizations that focus on serving the community. When I first heard about Salud and their mission to provide access to healthcare for marginalized populations, I was immediately intrigued. What made me join Salud was not just their cause, but also the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere created by Neil and his team.

As a member of Salud, I was troubled by these accusations, but I also saw how Neil and the team handled the situation with grace and integrity. Instead of giving in to negative comments and aggressive responses, they chose to apologize and use the opportunity to educate others on the importance of sensitivity and cultural understanding. I was immensely proud to be a part of an organization that not only aims to serve the community but also stands up for the values of inclusion and respect.
